What Causes Cuts On Vaginal Area And Vaginal Discomfort?

I m 55 yrs old & had a TAH in 2002. I was feeling very tender in my labia area & took a mirror to inspect myself. I found my skin is torn open about 2 1/2 inches in my right labia crease fold area. I am very uncomfortable. I have been cleaning , drying the area, & applying pain reliever triple antibiotic cream to the site t.i.d. I was on antibiotics for bronchitis 4 weeks ago. I txed myself with otc vaginal yeast treatment with a 1 x dose. I have not been sexually active since December 2012 and was tested for everything after my divorce & all tests were negative. what causes this & is there anything I can do until my OBGYN calls me back?
