What Causes Cyst In Throat After Having Knee Surgery?

I had knee surgery and from what I am told there was a tube placed down my throat. This surgery was performed 11/26/14 and that Saturday I felt something in my throat. That following Monday had appointment with my GP. He could not see anything the first time he looked, but I told him to try again and he say it and gave me a referral to an ENT doctor. Yesterday the ENT removed a growth on the Right side and then discovered a cyst on the left side and also removed it. It took two cuts to remove the cyst one was the cyst and the other was the root. Is this common after surgery to have this happen? I have had several major surgeries in the past with great success and never this problem. Can you explain this or is it some kind of freak accident?

Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read and understood your history.
Indeed the occurence of the cyst and the knee surgery was coincidental.
The intubation may not cause the cyst so early.
It can cause granuloma formatiin.

I would advise you the following.
Get a second opinion of a Laryngologist..continue the treatment till you are said to have cured.
Take soft bland diet.
No smoking, no alcohol.
Do not strain the voice.
I am sure you will get cured.
