What Causes Cystic Acnes?

Hi, I'm 38 years old and used to have very bad case of cystic acnes. I've been taking Diana for about six months but besides treating my skin from acnes, the pills made me feel uncomforable, stomach problem and weight gain, now I have started taking Qlaira. My body is reacting to the pills on good way, stomach problems alleviated but I'm really afraid the acnes can go back as I see some changes on my skin in this directions.
What kind of birth control would be good for me to keep away problem with acnes.
In addition I used to have a very heavy bleeding caused by uterus myoma. Born two healthy kids, have 158 cm and 60 kg weight.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of cystic acne on face which is severest form of acne and it occurs when a pore in your skin gets clogged, usually with debris, bacteria and dead skin cells and causing area to be red and swollen. I would suggest you to exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant. Apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore. It could be due to hormonal change during puberty , androgen hormones stimulate more sebum to be produced and a greater amount of skin cells to proliferate. You should wash your face using a clindamycin gel with mild soap and lukewarm water. If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe chemical peeling and laser therapy.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
