What Causes Damage Of Ulnar Nerve With Numbness In Fingers?

my ulnar nerve has been damaged and last 2 fingers have been really really nunm for past 2 years and the middle finger is starting to be nunm as well. Seen a specialist and had tests yesterday but doesn't look like he is taking me serious. how can I ease the pain by myself at home. I'm hurting and getting very frustrated because can't use the left hand too much now.
