What Causes Dark Body Complexion When Compared To Face In Infants?

Hi I am prameela. My LO is 2 and half months old.when she was born pinkish in colour.but now after few she turn to dark.now she has fair face and hand but still body and legs are in dark only.which four will be permanent. I am using sebamed body wash and coconut oil for message. Is that safe?and whatbto do to get complete body in fair colour? Thanks & Regards,prameela.

You need nothing to do for this temporary change in color of her legs etc. It is just a temporary change in color and is common. It happens in almost every kid. Babies when start crawling and early walking, they get this discoloration and some also get a bit rough skin on areas of constant contact with the floor. This all is reversible and goes away in a few months.

Yes it is OK to use these baby products.


You need to apply only the moisturizing lotion to her body. It will soften the body and will help remove the dead skin cells when in the shower.
