What Causes Dark Brown And Clumpy Discharge During Periods?

I got my normal period the 9th of this month. Exactly 16 days later i started bleeding dark red but dark brown.. A little cramps but not the kind i get the first 2 days of my period. Its also clumpy like little pieces of tissue. I took a pregnancy test and itd negative.
