What Causes Dark Brown Blood Discharge And Cramps During Periods?

hi, i'm 16, 111, & 4'11. im not sure if i could be pregnant or not. i've used protection most times well maybe not once. and i've had dark brown blood out of nowehere with cramps as if to the beginning of my period. although i have been having clear discharge recently.
