What Causes Dark Brown Discharge After Periods?

had twins 6 1/2 months ago also tubal ligation. My menstrual periods are short (2 days), but 2 weeks after each period, I release a discharge, sometimes it is a dark brown discharge with a bad odor and other times it is light pink discharge with a bad odor. What can this be?
