Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dark Bruises On Wrist And Knuckles After An Injury On Hands?
I pounded both my hands hard again a wall Fri, today is Wed and I have a small dark bruises on my wrist and knuckle but I m concerned about the numb tingly painful throbbing that s in both hands. My arms will get hot and my fingers will get real cold. I can move my fingers but it kind of painful to pick heavy things up. My hands are real sweaty too. Is this something really serious? Should I rush to the er?
As per my clinical experience, the dark bruises on wrist with tingling and pain throbbing indicate underlying nerve with or without vascular compression most likely. If there were no throbbing or tingling with cold sensation, it would be of healing after sometime period, but as these are the alarming symptoms of underlying injury, an ER visit is mandatory.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
