What Causes Dark Circles Around The Eyes In A Child After Head Injury?

My 10 month old has dark circles around his eyes. He bumbed his head against the wall on Monday and was a little tired after, but other than that has been fine. He got sick on Thur, but I did notice a little fluid from his nose on Mon. Could he have a really bad head trama? Does he need a CT. He currently has an ear infection and crup.
