What Causes Dark Colored Urine During Pregnancy?

I am 38 weeks pregnant, had a vomiting bug yesterday, drinking lots of water but urine still dark. Have been tested twice for gestational diabetes, last test 2 weeks ago negative but close (8.8). Is urine related to developing gestational diabetes or just dehydration due to tummy bug? This is my third pregnancy, all pretty normal, good BP and very little swelling (only in last couple of weeks). Age 37.

hi dark coloured urine has nothing to do with developing gestational diabetes . it is in all likelihood due to dehydration . keep yourself well hydrated ,drink 10 13 glasses water a day, have coconut water and electral solution .in case you still continue to have dark coloured urine just get a urine for bike salts and bike pigments and lft done to rule out jaundice. all the best take care.
