What Causes Dark Colored Wax Discharge And Bleeding From Ear?
hello, about a weeks ago i observed a lot of dark coloured wax coming out of my five year old son left ear followed by some white stuff coming out of the same ear. i took his to a doctor and was told that there is wax inside of the ear and was given an ear drop. Yesterday i noticed more white stuff protruding out of the ear canal of the same ear. When i removed it with a swab, it started to bleed. i am worried now. Can it be an ear infection? Is the white stuff also wax? is he too young to have his ears flushed? can this lead to deafness in that particular ear? Any advice will be appreciated.

I really appreciate your concern, it could be wax but it must be associate with fungal infection such condition need to be treated properly ear need to be clean very well for the infection antifungal ear drop and oral antibiotic may needed condition may not cause the deafness, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
