General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
i have read your worry with much concern.Dark stool is suggestive of digested blood coming from the upper digestive tract. This could be caused be gastric ulcer, oestophagial varice or a stomach cancer.Do not be scared.u will need a fibroscopy and an endoscopy to confirm diagnosis.Other blood tests like CBC will be needed to explain the other symptoms you are presenting with.I will advice you see a physician immediatley to have the bleeding controlled
Wish you a speedy recovery
