What Causes Dark Coloured Stools With Heavy Rectal Bleeding?
Hello I always thought i had IBS but throughout the passed 2 years my symptoms have gotten worse and dieting and medicine no longer help. Recently i began having very dark stool with alot of heavy bleeding and when i dont have diareah my stool is really thin. Ive alo been having alot of lower back aches and really sharp stomach pains. im always tired and my heart keeps beating fast. please help.
Hi i have read your worry with much concern.Dark stool is suggestive of digested blood coming from the upper digestive tract. This could be caused be gastric ulcer, oestophagial varice or a stomach cancer.Do not be scared.u will need a fibroscopy and an endoscopy to confirm diagnosis.Other blood tests like CBC will be needed to explain the other symptoms you are presenting with.I will advice you see a physician immediatley to have the bleeding controlled Wish you a speedy recovery
