What Causes Dark Discoloration In Tonsils While On Amoxicillin For Cold And Cough?

My daughter got a cold/flu a month agao and has never quite recovered. She did not have a cough, but has had fatigue and sinus/throat symptyms. She went to urgent care Tuesday and they put her in Amoxocillan. Today she says her tonsils are turning blackish green. WHAT does that mean? Good or bad? She says her throat is VERY sore.

Welcome at HCM
I appreciate your health concerns...
What is her age? Any enlarged lymph nodes in neck?
In my opinion she should continue using amoxicillin. Stop worrying about the discoloration. She should use saline gargles three times a day with hot fluids.
If her throat is sore after five days then she should meet ENT surgeon.
Hope it helps
