What Causes Dark Itchy Patches On Stomach?

I have dark itchy patches on my stomach. The affected areas are dry, and irregular in size & shape. They are only on my stomach. I have had them for about a year now. Started off with one or two now have around 10. Do not normally have sensitive skin.
