What Causes Dark Mucus Discharge From Left Nostril After Having Sinus Surgery?

I had surgery to open up my sinuses two and a half weeks ago. Last night I had a very large discharge of dark mucus from my left nostril, and now I have clear fluid coming from it. Is this something to be concerned about? I had a severe motorcycle accident in 2010, and have had severe headaches for the past several years. Have been to several doctors about it including a neurologist.

I really appreciate your concern, such discharge could be due to internal bleeding that might have formed into clot and expelled out, it is the matter of concern and better to see the ENT surgeon and discus this hope this information helps.
