What Causes Dark Patches On Neck, underarms And Thighs?
Hello doctor! I am 17 year old girl and i have dark patches on my neck, underarms, thighs, elbow and knees. I noticed the skin patches when i was 10 years old. Its been increasing ever since. i have tried everything but nothing has helped so far.. please help me. I really hate it and i want my skin to be normal
Dark patches on neck, axillae, groin, elboe and knees may be due to condition called acanthosis nigricans. It is commonly associated with obesity. It may be idiopathic. You consult dermatologist to have firm diagnosis.
I would suggest you to take tab. vitamin C,glutathion and vitamin E. Apply kojic acid gel at night and alovera with vitamin E cream in the morning on the patches. If the skin on the patches is tough and rough, rub salicylic acid containing oint.
I hope this would help you.
Thanks.
