What Causes Dark Periods With Clots During Urination?
Hi, I have an IUD and have only bleed 4 times in 2.5 years. What is concerning me is that it s not a normal menstrual cycle.It is bright red blood and not enough to wear a tampon or even really need a pad but when I pee I pass several clots dime size and smaller. US This normal?

Menstrual bleeding can be reduced or changed with the IUD.
In some women, more blood can be seen with urination than what is seen on a sanitary napkin or tampon.
