What Causes Dark Purple Vomitus And Burning Sensation In The Throat?
My mother is visiting and is 87 years old and in good health however the past 36 hours she has been vomiting and it is a deep purple color with no reason to be that color. She is complaining about feeling as if she has a lump of acid in her throat. Are these symptoms something that would be normal with a virus or should I be more concerned and seeking an ER

Hello,
Your mother is suffering from severe gastritis with reflex from duodenum.
Purple color may be mixed with bile and acid from stomach.
Try this medication
Take Tab. Pan D and Liquid Sucralfate, then go for a review.
