Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain a purple pink lump on the roof of the mouth seems to be most probably
MUCOCELE which is formed due to trauma to the soft tissues of the roof of the mouth leading to the
injury to the minor salivary glands or their ducts leading to spillage of mucus and accumulation into the soft tissues and appearance of lump and when the lump is filled with mucus it becomes stretched and tensed and appears as a hard lump..
It mostly resolves itself without any treatment but in case if the lump is large and does not resolve surgical removal has to be done..
It is not cancerous and harmless..
Greying of teeth which are already filled can be due to secondary infection in the teeth leading to further decay in the teeth.
For this you need to
consult a dentist and get evaluated and get the
x ray done and get treated according to the condition of teeth..
The yellow discolouration of the roof of the mouth in a smoker is due to heat leading to obliteration of blood vessels leading to blanching as well as burning and deposition of the chemical present in the smoke leads to yellow discolouration.
I would suggest you first of all stop
smoking once for all as it is very harmful and maintain a good
oral hygiene..
Salt water rinses can be relieving..
Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration..
Hope this helps..
Thanks and regards..
