hi. i am 25 yrs old lady, i am useing batnovate N since 6 yrs now i can stop using betnovate becose now without batnovate useing my skin get black and rashes, pls help to stop betnovate. and what to use for good and better skin like before. and i use betnovate normally at night. pls help

Hi,

I can understand your concern and after reading the query it appears that you are suffering form steroid abuse due to use of the above mentioned cream.

Betnovate cream contains steroid. The cream is good but shouldn't be used without a dermatologist's prescription. On its prolonged use it can cause thinning skin with red irritated skin or even hair growth.

I suggest you to use proper sun protection. You can use Azelaic acid or Kojic acid creams under dermatological guidance only. These can be used for a long period without any side effects. This may take few weeks of the time to resolve your problem so have patience.
