What Causes Dark Spots On Body After Using Permethrin?

Hi for the last past 3 weeks or so i have been itching all over my body the dermatologist told me it was scabies the prescribed premytherin cream and sum type of steroid cream to control the itch im developing dark spots all over my body is that normal? Or is that something else?
