What Causes Dark Spots On Hands, Chest And Shoulders?

Hi Sir, I am from India, 29yrs old, Male. No Smoking/ Drinking and other addictions. From last 2 months I have dark color spots on my both hands, chest and shoulders. Last month I visited the Dermatologist, and as per his analysis I am having Macular Amyloidosis. He advised me to take some Vitamin C supplements and few creams to remove the back heads. And he was saying this disease is curable bt will take long to recover My question is what will be the worst scenario in my case and prevention I need to take to come out of this. Please help me on this.
