What Causes Dark Spots On My Thighs And Lower Back?

my mother About 8 months ago I broke out with dark spots in the palms of my hands and on the bottom of my feet . They started out as itchy blisters them turned into dark spots. I was treated with strong atibiotics and they went away. There are dark spots on my thighs and a few around my lower back and side. They came shortly after the others. What could this be? What can be done?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be Fixed drug eruption. Fixed drug eruption is due to side effect of a particular drug. This occurs repeatedly whenever the causative drug is used repeatedly.
Please look for the medication which causes the rash and stop the drug.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor as soon as possible because drug reactions can cause serious effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
