I have had the barber s itch but now it s gone as I have let the beard to just grow but there is one problem that is annoying me until now and that is the skin colour. After the treatment of the infection, it also seems that the skin colour is very dark as if it s dark spots after the treatment. I d like to know if there s a solution for this. More over, I have been having pimple for over more than 5 years now and I am 19, really tired of this and I tried a lot of products that are non commercial. I bought genuine medical creams and still no use.
I can understand your concern for dark spots on skin post shaving over face. After analyzing your query it appears that you have post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. It is quiet common to get such kind of hyper-pigmentation after any inflammation such as in your case by the barber’s itch.
In your kind of cases I prefer to give topical therapy with arbutin or kojic acid after proper analysis of the skin. It si better to visit a dermatologist and get a proper diagnosis and accordingly treatment for your marks. You can take further guidance from a dermatologist. Take care.
