What Causes Dark Spotting And Heavy Menstrual Bleeding With Clots?
I am 43 and have had a regular menstrual cycle for 13 years on Oct 8 was my last on and havent had one since or any signs unti Jan 15 had very dark spotting for 3 days but not flowing then Monday it began very heavy heavy and bright red cant do anything soaking thru tampon and pad in 30 mins now today still flowing very heavy but have large clots with it
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Irregular bleeding & missing your periods for 3-4 cycles could be a sign that you may be approaching menopause. Your periods were very regular earlier are also suggestive of menopause possibility. Menopause is a life event in a woman's life (typically between 40-50 years of age) when she stops ovulating & hence menstruation ceases. Menopause causes great hormonal changes in a woman, which could be responsible for dark spotting and heavy menstrual bleeding with clots. According to me you could take Tranexamic acid to reduce the heavy bleeding. You should also visit your gynaecologist for checkup.
Refer to your gynaecologist Hope this information helps
