What Causes Dark Urine And Delay In Periods Despite Having Negative UPT?

Hi so I ve had different symptoms lately appearing first symptom was a late period, but signs of bleeding during sex but never a regular period, then my water has been really dark and strong although I drink enough, then came indegestion and really bad gas and gut ache. I ve not had a period in two month but pregnancy tests show negative and the urine is dark constantly and quite strong, I also realise I m getting hot flushes and feeling sick from time to time too. I m definitely not pregnant just don t know what else it could be.

You may want to have a pap smear if you did not have a recent one to check up on the bleeding during intercourse.
This can sometimes be related to conditions of the cervix. Infections can also cause this problem.

Infection of the urinary tract or inadequate fluid intake can cause a change in the appearance of the urine.

There are different causes of delayed period such as: (1) emotional stress or illness

(2)high prolactin hormone levels
(3)physical illness
(4)abnormal levels of thyroid hormone
(5)polycystic ovarian syndrome
(6)inadequate diet

Blood tests and imaging can be used to detect the cause.
