What Causes Dark Vaginal Discharge?

Thanks for caring to ask - I have dark discharge and I have no other symptoms - I have studied the reasons and they say stress could be the reason - I have an appointment on Tuesday but am afraid if they take a biopsy - have never had one - are they painful?

I would like to inform you that most of the cases of such dark discharge are not indicative of any serious issue. Such dark discharge is seen in pregnancy during implantation , ovulation , MENOPAUSE and is not a matter of concern. In few cases such discharge could be indicative of some serious issues like pelvic inflammatory disease , endometrial bleeding or cervical cancer.
I would recommend you to consult your gynecologist for further evaluation and proper treatment . Biopsy procedure is not painful at all and you will not know even when the procedure is finished.
