What Causes Darkening Of Fingertips In Hands And Legs?

Hi doctor, I am 24 years old female and I realise recently my fingers, especially the tip of my fingers near my nails are becoming darker, same goes to my toes. I do not have any medical condition. May I know what is causing it? I recently have moved to a town where the water is quite hard. Could it be due to the water?

There are a few possibilities here--

Low thyroid, diabetes, vitamin D deficiency or a liver or kidney problem

You need a battery of blood tests to see exactly what the problem is
