What Causes Darkish Red Discoloration In Left Toenail And Pain In Right Shoulder?

My large left toenail started turning a darkish red about 3 weeks ago. No pain. Coincidence or not, but about the same time my toenail stated turning red, I had hurt by right shoulder to the point that it felt like a piched nerve or torn muscle. That was three weeks ago, still today, the left toenail is darkish red and the right shoulder is painful.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think there must be due to pinched leg nerve with damages to blood circulation in the toe. I think should consult immediately with neurologist and run neurological and EMG studies first.

Then should run Doppler ultrasound of the blood circulation in the legs. Discuss this further with your caring doctor and get helped immediately.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
