Hello,
The fetal heart rate is not of much significance in early pregnancy; it is the growth of the sac and the regularity of the sac along with presence of a fetal heart that indicate good progress. Based on the serial sonogram findings, it appears as though the pregnancy is not going well. Serial estimations of serum beta-hCG titres also can be done to give additional benefit in the diagnosis. Doubling titres every 2-3 days indicate good progress while falling titres suggest a missed pregnancy. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
