What Causes Decreased Foetal Movements Post Antibiotic Treatment For Sore Throat?

I am 26 weeks pregnant. About two weeks ago I started having a sore throat, then a cough, along with a runny nose. I had to go to the ER since it would hurt to swallow. I thought I had Strep Throat. The doctor prescribed me to antibiotics. I feel like ever since I started taking those, the fatal movement of my daughter has decreased. Now that I m better, I thought her fatal movement would return back to normal to before I was sick but I m not getting anything out of her. If she does kick, it s a very weak fatal movement. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night with my underwear soaking wet, my bed wasn t wet so I figured I didn t pee myself. So I m thinking it was either discharge or fluids leaking. Should I be worried or no? I have a prenatal apt soon but I don t know whether to worry now & call my doctor tomorrow or just wait?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are concerned about fetal movements and also noted a suspicious liquid, it would be best to see your doctor as soon as you can for an assessment.

It is quite possible that your baby is ok but it would be best to be checked to make sure of this.

I hope this helps
