What Causes Decreased Urinary Output After Ureteral Stenting?

hi. I have a decreased urine stream and sudden loss of control/ no pain, but I do have a stint in my ureter to bypass a tumor. no sign of infection, but have passed some small bits of tissue. I have been aggressively treating the tumor alkalizing my system and am showing remarkable improvements in other areas.. could it be breaking up and blocking my bladder?

Hello,

If the tumor is inside of your ureter, then it is possible that the issue you are seeing and the cause of the decreased urine stream is from the tumor.

I would certainly let your doctors know about this, and you will probably need some imaging to determine what the cause of the decreased urine stream is and whether there is a blockage.

I would expect you to have pain with this if it was causing a blockage, but either way, you will likely need some further testing to figure out the cause of this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
