What Causes Deep Bruising Along With Pain In Ribs?

Hi and Thank you Dr. I got hit by an animal on my farm into the ribs, i week ago today, no bruising, but as the days went by i was getting worse pain. It hurts when i take a deep breath. I am tender and cant work or lift anything heavy. What does Dr Rynne think...Thanks Patrick

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the injury to the chest then rib fracture need to be ruled out, and better to get done the x-ray of chest, although nothing much can be done in case of fracture, because this would comes to normal on its own, for the pain analgesic can be tried, hope this information helps, take care.
