What Causes Dehydration During Pregnancy?

Hi I m 17 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first child. Last month my OB said I was very dehydrated and my levels were greater than 1.03. I went back to her yesterday and my levels were at 1.02 which is better but still not good. Should I be worried or should she be taking a preventative approach before this gets worse?

Hi.

Nothing to be worried about, but try and consume more fluids through the day, even if it means visiting the rest room more frequently which is bound to happen. Make sure you also stop drinking water about 60-90 minutes before bedtime in order to avoid waking up in the middle of the night to pee.

Discuss your situation in a more elaborate manner with your doctor if you seem to be more worried.

Best wishes.
