What Causes Delay In Conception In A Person Having PCOD And Hypothyroidism?
Hi I m 26 and husband 27,i have pcod and hypothyroidism,my husband s semen Analysis came as 20%motile sperm, count and morphology was normal.i got pregnant naturally last year but I had a missed abortion.so now again trying for a baby, can my husband s sperm motility be increased? His hormones are all normal,or should we try IUI directly?

Hi,
1. As you said your husband sperm motility is 20% which is little low as the normal range is 40% at least and you have conceived once naturaly but that landed up in missed abortion ..which means the morphology of the sperm is not appropriate.
2. You can try the method of IUI in which doctor or the embryologist will first take a fresh seminal fluid sample of your husband and test the percentage of motile sperms and then they will inject those motile sperms into your endometrial cavity.
3. This is best for you because as in this case they will select only the motile sperms leaving behind the non viable or the non motile sperms and by that you can definitely achieve what you want to.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
