What Causes Delay In Conception While Treating PCOD?

hello...I m 24yrs old..got married 8 months back..trying for a baby since 3 months..my last period was on 12th of may..I hav been detected with pcod.. need some expert advice..as to wat should b my nxt step.. my gynaec says that we need to regularize my period first.. bit scared..wil it take me very long to concieve...or will it be very problematic

Understand your concern
PCOD cause hormonal imbalance and that lead to menstrual irregularity, ovarian dysfunction and absence of ovulation.
So all above causes can cause infertility and disease course & treatment is very predictable.
So first aim of the treatment is to regularize the period and other aims are induction of ovulation, reduce the weight, maintain glucose homeostasis (insulin resistance).
So consult the gynecologist and get the done reproductive hormone analysis, blood sugar, insulin, USG scan and ovarian follicle study that help in management of case.
Medical treatment:
birth control pill or progesterone pill: to regularize the period
Metformin: maintain glucose homeostasis and induce the ovulation
Spironolactone can be used for induction of ovualtion.
Clomiphene citrate: induce the ovulation and maintain the fertility.

You have to take treatment for at least 4-6 months.
If medical treatment will not responds then surgical treatment like ovarian dreeling should be done.
Avoid excessive sweets and do regualr exercise, loose 8-10 % weight if you are obese.
