What Causes Delay In Menstrual Bleeding When Diagnosed With UTI?

Hi, I m a 40 year mother of three kids ( twins 17, daughter 12). I have never been late with my period until now ( due date june 17). First i thought it was a sign of menopause but when i did the hpt it came positive. I havent been to the doctor yet to confirm it. I m worried about this pregnancy cause i had several urinary tract infections in the past year and I ve been drinking lots of herb teas like sage, parsley and nettle. Doctors in my country are not so professional so which test should i require to rule out any abnormalities. Thank you

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that UTIs are very common in pregnancy but you should consult your gynaecologist if you want to keep the child.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
