What Causes Delay In Menstrual Bleeding When Diagnosed With An Ovarian Cyst?

Hi I had an ablation about eight years ago and have not had a period since a few days ago I noticed a brown discharge with clots and pain during sex. I have had many issues in the past ovarian cysts, endometriosis, and brake through bleeding. So, I m nervous about why this could be. Can you help?

Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated.
If periods are delayed long, drugs like OCP may be required.
