Hi,

Primolut N contain progesterone. It cause following side effects: stomach upset, changes in appetite, weight gain, fluid retention and swelling (edema), fatigue, acne, drowsiness or insomnia, allergic skin rashes, hives, fever, headache, depression, breast discomfort or enlargement, premenstrual syndrome (PMS)-like symptoms, altered menstrual cycles, irregular bleeding.

But your friend is taking that since last two years without gap. Period will not occur while on Primout N continuous since last 2 years. It is prescribed medicine and should be taken under advise of gynecologist. Please convince her regarding side effects and tell to meet gynecologist.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
