What Causes Delay In Menstruation After Having Ipills?

Hello, i m 18 and i had unprotected sex around 15th march 2015 and took an ipill the next morning. I also took another ipill just to induce a period on 21st or 22nd. My period was supposed to be on 18th but it was delayed to 26th march. Its 1st of may today and i havent got my period for the month of april. I have gained some weight and also have stopped taking my vitamins, hair fall tablets as well. I had exam stress in april too. Can u help me out with this?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Delayed periods can be due to the pregnancy or any hormonal disturbances in the body like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactemia or polycystic ovarian disease, or due to stress, or due to I pill which has the side effect of delaying the next expected periods by2-3 weeks.
I would suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test done and if negative, then do wait for another week for periods to come. If they still don't come, then do consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
