What Causes Delay In Menstruation Other Than Pregnancy?

Hello Doctor, I am 25 year old married women. I missed my period last month and as advises by my doctor i took deviry 10 mg for 5 days starting from last Monday (22nd September) and the course completed by last Saturday (27 th September).It s been 7 days over , still didn t get my periods, what should i do ? Please advise.Also my pregnancy tests are negative (I did thrice before taking deviry).

hi,the commonest cause of missed period is pregnancy.other causes being 1 stress both emotional and physical 2 anaemia 3 thyroid dysfunction-hypothyroidism 4 poly cystic ovaries 5 hormonal dysfunction.wait for another 5 days if u still don't get your periods get your ultrasound done and one cbc and tsh levels.take care and all the best.in all likelihood you will get your periods with devry which you have already taken.
