hi, i m 25 years old, from last 8 months i m suffering with period delayed problems. last 8 months back my periods were delayed 2months and doctor suggest me to take regestrone tablets, after 5 days i got periods. after that 2 months i got my periods regularly, but now same problem 2 months delay, again doctor suggest the same. i m married. i took my pregnancy test also but its negative. plz tell me is that medicine is good or it gives any adaptation to my body. and also tell me perfect dose of that regesteron tablates daily
Hello dear Understand your concern You had already confirm the pregnancy by pregnancy test an that was negative so pregnancy is excluded. I prescribed regesteron to induce the bleeding in absence of pregnancy. 5 mg twice daily for 4-6 days should be given after proper evaluation by gynecologist. It should be not used regualr to induce bleeding. Better to find the cause of problem and period can be regularized by contraceptive pill. Other causes of delayed period should be rule out like dysfunctional uterine bleeding due to hormonal imbalance, ovarian cyst/polycystic ovarian syndrome, thyroid disorder. Avoid stress, do regular stretching and relaxation exercise daily in the morning for 45-60 minutes, take healthy diet and fresh fruits regular. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
