What Causes Delay In Menstruation Other Than Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 25, Single Female. I had unprotected sex on 19th July 2010(Jst 2 days after my periods cleaned up), but did take a contraceptive pill within 24hrs. My period was due on 21st this month, but missed, I took a home pregnancy test, it was negative. I also went to the hospital and got the UPT done, that also is negative. BUt I still havent gotten my periods. What could possibly be the cause? Do you recommend any tests?

well, with your description it appears that on the 6th or 7th day of your cycle you had sex and took an emergency contraceptive pill within 24 hrs,.
now you were in the proliferative phase of your menstrual cycle that tie so the ipill possibly taken have caused just spotting may be after 10 days or so , and if not then now that the upt is negative you can be assured that it has done its job..
you have to understand that delayed menses is a known side effect of emergency contraceptive pills .
so if your periods are not resumed after 15 days of your missed period , you may undergo an ultrasound pelvis to know the endometrial thickess and if it is more than 5mm , then you may opt for withdrawal bleeding with progesterones like primolut-n twice a day for 5 day( as used in our clinic) . then you may see your bleeding resume within 7-10 days,
