What Causes Delay In Menstruation Other Than Pregnancy?

hi, i was wondering, im late by two days getting my period, but took two pregnancy tests, one the day of my period and the other the morning after but both came back negative. i have also been getting symptoms but thought these were just because i was getting my period but now im not sure. could you help?

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion urine pregnancy test gives accurate results if done a week after missed period.So consider repeating the test after a week.And if still negative there is no chance of pregnancy.The delayed period with negative test might be seen during mental or physical stress,thyroid abnormalities or PCOD.If continuosly irregular then the above causes should be ruled out.Avoid stress.Relax.And wait for spontaneous onset of period for 10 days.If dont come then consult gynaecologist.
