What Causes Delay In Menstruation Post Intake Of Plan B?

I had unprotected sex on June 14th on the first day of my period. I took plan b the next day just to be safe. Since then, I have not gotten another period when I was due to have it on July 19th as my cycles are every 5 weeks. This would make me about 3 weeks late. My breasts have been sore and tender for a few days and today I have been experiencing frequent urges to urinate. I have taken 2 home pregnancy tests and they both were negative but could I be pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Unprotected sex on the first day of the period does not cause pregnancy.
At this time no ovum is released so not fertilization occurs.
Your delayed period is due to the plan B pill.
Pill contain high progesterone and that cause delay in the period, sore breast and increase in the urine frequency.
I advise you to consult the gynecologist and undergo reproductive hormone analysis, USG scan and ovarian follicle study.
Avoid stress, drink plenty of water, eat healthy diet, fresh fruits.
Hope this may help you
