General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Absence of menstruation while suffering from PCOD is a common symptom and may at times go for months and is always due to not ovulating(anovulation). However, if anovulation is the cause, you will respond positive to a progesterone challenge test with merate, that is, you will have a withdrawal bleeding when you stop taking it.DUB 5mg is a low strength progesterone and may not give results at times. No mentruation after merate suggest you need to be reevaluated by your Gynecologist.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
