What Causes Delay In Menstruation?

Hi, my name is Shandalaya there are 30 days in this month which I did not know. So usually there 31 days like last month I got my period on the 27th which usually last 5 days. I didn t get it on the 27th of this month or today which will not make out to 5 days if there s only 2 days left in this month. I was intimate with my daughters dad unprotected abt 2-3 weeks ago. If it doesn t come the 29th or 30th should i be concerned about being pregnant?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you had unprotected intercourse & was not on regular contraceptive pills & did not take emergency CP within 72 hours of sexual intercourse then you can be pregnant.

If you miss your periods you should get urine & blood tests done to confirm pregnancy. You can also visit a gynae & have a clinical examination done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
