General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Go for a urine pregnancy test to exclude pregnancy.
A hormonal imbalance, thyroid disorder, extreme anxiety and stress, sudden drastic changes in weight and PCOD are common causes of delayed period.
If you don't get periods, please meet your gynecologist who will procure an abdominal ultrasound and blood tests for hormonal status.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
