What Causes Delay In Period And Strange Movements In Stomach?

hi. my name is Natasha and i have been having these movements in my stomach for a few days now and i have been extremely tired. my period was about 2 1/2 weeks late, it lasted 1 day and a half. when i wipped my self there was a very huge amount of very stringy mucus, it was brownish and had a little blood in it. since that happened i have been having these movements in my stomach and aches in my inner thigh and lower abdomen, been very tired and eating a lot. What could this be?

Thanks for the query. I understand our concern.
* You had delayed periods by 2& 1/2 weeks .. which lasted only for a day ,with just stringy blood stained irregular periods .. the the bleeding you had can be taken as implantation bleeding because of delayed conception.You should confirm pregnancy by home pregnancy test after a week. mucus discharge & have funny movements in abdomen... your appetite is also raised.
- Pregnancy test may be -ve in case your periods are irregular.. & the symptoms you have being due to hormonal imbalance ( PCOD/ thyroid or ovarian problems ) & your problem is irregular menses- which needs treatment & regularization.

* the pregnancy may be present or absent, the strange movements in abdomen at this satge are due to , digestive disturbances because of hormonal imbalance/ early pregnancy hormones )
* Pain in lower abdomen / increased appetite can be present in early pregnancy/ also in hormonal disturbances.
- Finally none of the symptoms are diagnostic for pregnancy.. except home pregnancy test.. which will demarcate pregnancy from hormonal imbalance.
